The Post's Marc Berman posted on his blog this afternoon that Stephon Marbury is set to be officially announced as the newest member of the Boston Celtics in a press conference tomorrow afternoon."One person can't bring you to the playoffs or win a championship,'' Marbury told me. "Michael Jordan proved it. You need a team to do it. I respect the fans, but it takes a team to do it, not an individual. People want to put the blame on me, that's fine.''
"I'm happy about moving forward,'' Marbury said. "That's all I wanted to do from the beginning. I can't tell you how happy I am now. I was the happiest guy in Times Square.''
No Steph, the thousands of Knicks fans you let down were the happiest in New York upon your buyout. I'm not one to bash a player unless truly warranted, but good riddance.
