Knicks Win 109-105

Tonight at MSG the Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 109-105.

Some game highlights:

- Larry Hughes had another big game, scoring 23 points along with 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

- Al Harrington had a quiet double-double with 20 points, and 10 rebounds, along with 4 steals.

- David Lee registered his 24th consecutive double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

- Perhaps the biggest star on the night was Danilo Gallinari, who scored 17 points while hitting 4 out of 5 three pointers.

Although the Knicks made it interesting in the closing seconds of the game, tonight was a solid win against a very good team.

Both teams started out shooting poorly, but the Knicks made several scoring runs by the second half to slowly pull away from the Hawks. Larry Hughes is certainly beginning to find his stride in New York, Gallinari shows signs of serious scoring ability, and it was a strong overall effort from the squad this evening.

The most promising thing to take away from this win is that the Knicks did it with a short bench, while Nate the Great and Jared Jeffries were out with injuries. Expect to see the two of them back in action this weekend when Charlotte comes to town.
