Rangers Send Bell to Minors

The New York Rangers have sent recently signed winger Mark Bell to the minor leagues today.

This move is said to be an effort to clear room on the roster for Sean Avery to be claimed off waivers.

I would have to imagine the Bell signing was more of a back up plan if the hopes of signing Avery fell through.
