A British Columbia forward, Crowder is 24 and was 14-19-33 in 35 games this year for the University of Anchorage Seawolves. He's 6-3, 202, a right-hand shot, and will likely be assigned to Hartford.
I like his size and offensive prowess, although at 24 I wonder what has taken him so long to get to this level. Newsday's Steve Zipay believes he could be a "late bloomer".
We'll see what kind of progress he can make with his game in Hartford.
