The New York Post is reporting that, according to Yankee's manager Joe Girardi, Alex Rodriguez could be back on the field by May 15th.Girardi said he is expecting Alex Rodriguez back on May 15, but that has nothing to do with the progress Rodriguez is making while rehabbing his right hip in Colorado. "That's what we have been told [by the doctors], I am not judging it by the rehab," said Girardi. Rodriguez is riding an exercise bike, running in a pool and lifting weights.
This is good news for Yankee's fans. After there was so much speculation about how the organization was going to handle Rodriguez's injury, it seems as if arthroscopic surgery was indeed the best route to take.
If Girardi's feelings are accurate, A-Rod will only miss a month or so of the regular season.
