A-Rod Could Miss WBC with Hip Injury

Last night, the New York Times reported that Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez may miss the World Baseball Classic with a cyst on his hip.

Although Rodriguez played in yesterday's exhibition game with the Dominican Republic, he is being flown to Colorado this afternoon to meet with a hip specialist.

This isn't considered to be anything serious at this point, but the Yankees won't want A-Rod to aggrivate the injury, so pulling him out of the WBC may be their best option.
