Whatta Win! Knicks Beat Detroit 116-111

Last night the Knicks pulled off, well, an awesome comeback overtime victory over the Detroit Pistons at the Palace.

Down 12 points in the 4th quarter, the Knicks slowly creeped their way back into the game. New York tied it up at 101-101 after three converted Larry Hughes free throws with 10 seconds left. Hughes was fouled beyond the arc by Rip Hamilton.

Nate Robinson posted yet another huge offensive game, with 30 points, and David Lee continued his impressive season with 16 points and 18 rebounds. Quentin Richardson entered the game late in the overtime and hit two three-point attempts to keep the Knicks hopes alive.

Detroit had a 6-game win streak going into the evening, but the Knicks stole all the momentum away from the Pistons in their 116-111 overtime win.

After two disappointing losses over the weekend to Charlotte and New Jersey, it seemed as if the Knicks playoff push was coming to an end. However, these last two wins on the road against good teams have given fans hope that the season may not be over yet.

If it is over, you wouldn't know it watching the last couple of games. The Knicks are playing their hearts out and refuse to roll over and die at this point, which is something I'm proud to see.

Like I said, an absolutely awesome win for the Knickerbockers last night, and I'm looking forward to another win against the lowly Timberwolves on Friday.
